Because of his passion in working with couples and families, he has pursued advanced training in Imago Relationship Therapy and Gottman-Informed Couple's Therapy. At the same time, while he roots his therapeutic approach in psychodynamic and humanistic theories, he prefers to draw from a variety of other theoretical epistemologies / orientations and techniques, including (Mindfulness) Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy, in order to help patient-clients achieve their therapeutic goal(s).

Colin has always had a curious disposition and have always been on the pursuit of learning in order to synthesize and integrate new knowledge into his current clinical fund of knowledge. For example, his educational achievements include graduate and postgraduate degrees from Cornell University and the University of Michigan. His professional achievements include a license in therapeutic bodywork, as well as certification in various nontraditional modalities of treatment. Currently, because of his continued interest in exploring the mind, the body, and their connection to each other, he is completing training to become a neuropsychologist and a therapeutic-method yoga teacher.
